We arrive at Pooley Bridge pier and enjoy a 1 hour Ullswater steamer cruise to the south side of the lake to Glenridding. We rejoin our coach and make our way to nearby Derwent Water Lake, stopping at the pretty town of Keswick where we have free time for lunch before returning to Carlisle where we will have some free time.

DAY 5 We return home, stopping on the way at Drumlanrig
Castle, home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch,
the Castle has 120 rooms, 17 turrets and four towers and from your very first glance you'll know you are entering a very  special place. Special enough, in fact, that the producers of Outlander recently used the Castle for filming their second series!
