DAY 2 We trace the North Sea Coastline on our excursion to John O’ Groats and Thurso. We will pay a visit to fairy tale Dunrobin Castle resembling a French Chateau with its towering conical spires, the most northerly of Scotland’s great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland.
DAY 3 Take your seat on “One of the best railway journeys in the world” according to Michael Palin. In Kyle the coach will be waiting to take you over the bridge to the Isle of Skye where we will have some free time. Returning over the bridge before crossing The Highlands from the west coast to east coast. A long but rewarding day.
DAY 4 Today we have a morning visit to Inverness and the afternoon free to enjoy Dornoch.
DAY 5 We travel homeward.
