DAY 1 We leave home and travel to our overnight hotel in the north of England.
DAY 2 We travel south to Great Yarmouth
DAY 3 A day at leisure to stretch our legs with a walk along the promenade or browse the many attractions and shops.
DAY 4 This morning we enjoy a 45 minute steam train journey on the Bure Valley Railway through the beautiful Norfolk countryside. On arrival in Wroxham, we disembark and take a leisurely 15 minute stroll to Wroxham Bridge, from where we begin the next stage of our journey, a 90 minute circular cruise of the Norfolk Broads, arriving back at Wroxham Bridge at 1.00 pm. We spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing back in Great Yarmouth.
DAY 5 Today we have a full day excursion to Norwich, one of the most vibrant and attractive cities in Europe. It is full of stunning historical architecture, with a Norman Cathedral and a 12th Century Castle as well as an open-air market, quirky independent shops and restaurants.
DAY 6 We have a half day excursion to Lowestoft, on the North Sea Coast and the most easterly point of the UK. A traditional seaside resort, it has wide sandy beaches, two piers and a number of other tourist attractions.
DAY 7 We have a free day to enjoy Great Yarmouth before starting our journey home.
DAY 8 We leave the seaside today and travel north to our overnight stop.
DAY 9 Homeward bound today.
