ITINERARY
DAY 1 We travel to Durham to arrive in time to settle in before dinner.
DAY 2 Today the driver will drop you in Durham for a day at leisure, you are free to discover the captivating medieval city of Durham, a wonderful place to explore with ancient winding streets packed with history, culture and stunning architecture.
DAY 3 We travel to Barnard Castle and visit the Bowes Museum – a French chateau in a northern landscape and one of the country’s most fascinating museum experiences, it contains the greatest collection of European fine and decorative arts in the North.
DAY 4 Today we head for Beamish, where past meets present, stroll around the shops and houses of the Edwardian Town, enjoy the huge range of attractions and talk to the dentist, school teacher, miners etc. etc.
DAY 5 We bid farewell to Durham and travel home.
